Chapin was discovered in a bedroom at 2 Chaffee Lane around 2:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, according to Southington authorities. No one else was inside the residence. Firefighters received multiple 911 calls about the blaze and arrived to find heavy flames shooting from the front of the house.
